If you were to think of pure, what would you think of? Clear water? The color white? A unicorn? Unicorns are the embodiment of pure and surprisingly are one of the only mythical 'beasts' not made from human fears. Though they are usually depicted as having the body of a horse with a spiraling horn in the center of their foreheads they actually started out as something else. Originally they were smaller horses with a billy goat beard, cloven hooves, and a lions tail. The horn was the same on both versions and they are said to be able to cure any poison, purify bodies of water, and many other things that have to do with purification. The coat of a unicorn varies from story to story but most of the time unicorns are white, though some have other natural horse colors. Most of the time it is considered a crime to kill one for they are pure animals, yet still some have hunted them for their horn's magic.
