Gryphons are amazing creatures that were created during the medieval times in Britain. Usually they were depicted with the front and wings of an eagle and the hindquarters and ears of a lion. Sometimes the front limbs are a lions as well. The spelling of the name of this creature varies from gryphon to griffin to a mix between the two. Now as the gryphon gains popularity and thanks to some creative writers gryphons have taken many forms, all of them have a bird front and cat like back ends. Some people have even changed it by using a wolf instead of a lion.
